The Tourist Office website has a map of Diablerets
which is helpful in getting oriented. Chalet Killarney is on Chemin du Planet,up the road from La Butte Bed and Breakfast (2) and the doctor's office.
As you approach Lausanne from the north west (Geneva direction), join the Autoroute around the north of the city (travelling east) and follow signs to Gd St Bernard/Simplon (and various other destinations).
You'll go past Vevey and Montreux. Stay on the Autoroute all the way to Aigle, always following the Gd St Bernard/Simplon signs.
Take the Aigle exit from the autoroute and go through the centre of Aigle, following signs to Les Mosses/Col du Pillon/Les Diablerets.
Uphill all the way now. 10 -15 minutes after leaving Aigle, you take a right fork towards Les Diablerets (in fact, you go straight on while the road to Col des Mosses bends round to the left). Follow the Col du Pillon, Les Diablerets/Gstaad signs.
The road climbs for another 10-15 minutes before you reach Les Diablerets.
Entering the town, take the left fork, following signs to Col du Pillon/Gstaad.
You'll continue to go uphill. After 300 - 400 yards, you will reach a crossroads on the brow of the hill: a road on the right comes uphill from the town and a smaller road leads off uphill to the left at a sharp backwards angle. Turn left up this small road - Chemin du Planet. (There is a small garage built into the hill on the left at the junction.
The road rises for about 200 yards, then dips down and crosses a over a stream. Go on up the hill for another 100 yards or so, passing 3 chalets on your left. Killarney is the next house on the left: it has a green hedge and wooden fence in front of it and there is a large 4-car concrete carport opposite the entrance. The house has the name Killarney in large white letters beside the front door.
The chalet phone number is: +41 024-492-32-62

Suisse chérie chez toi le bonheur.
Belle patrie à toi tout mon cœur.
Je lève mes yeux vers les
montagnes
d'où me viendra le secours.
Que l'Éternel protège ce chalet
et tous ceux qui l'habitent.
Pas à pas on va loin.
Tout est bien qui finit bien.
Beloved Switzerland, you bring us happiness.
Beautiful homeland,
to you all my heart.
I lift up mine eyes unto the peaks whence cometh my salvation.
May the Eternal protect this chalet
and all those who dwell here.
Step by step one travels far.
All's well that ends well.
